Vratza
 Vratza is a town in North Bulgaria, only 116 km away from Sofia. Nestled at the foot of the Vratza Balkan, the town is one of the most picturesque places in Bulgaria. The climate is mild continental.
The town’s suburbs are rare with its beauty. Ledenika is one of the caves with numerous galleries and interesting karst forms – stalactites and stalagmites. According to the legend, if someone immerses his hand in the cold lake in the cave and wishes something, his wish will come true.
Another cave that’s nearby is Magura Cave- one of the largest in Bulgaria. Next to the cave is The Rabisha Lake- the largest inland lake in Bulgaria that offers not only good conditions for swimming and surfing, but it’s also appropriate for hunting and fishing.
Amazing with its beauty is the “Skaklia” waterfall (141m), attracting people through all the seasons with the magnificent views that reveals from its top position.
For the people that prefer extreme sports like mountaineering (hiking), the terrain is very suitable. The Vratza Balkan is one of the most resourceful places for Rock climbing in Bulgaria. 12 km away from the Ledenika cave is the ski-lift with length 1100 meters.
